| Green green grass of home |

28 Apr
After years of thinking that i was a free spirit, I realised that I’m your usual female nester. I like routine (well, in some areas at least), I am a little (or a lot!) fussy about my bed and toilet, and I know what it is that brings me back to a place.
Home may not necessarily be a place. It could be a person. An animal even. But I realised I’m home wherever I had that sense of peace & joy inside me, a strong, solid feeling that only God can give.
Green is my colour of home. A blade of grass, endless stretch of hills and valleys, meadows dotted with little yellow flowers, a bowl of salad.
My dog’s home too. He found his bit of green (and is saving it for dinner!)
He loves his cabbage!
Other greens that make me grin:

One day I’ll live in a burrow under a huge oak tree with a wooden door that leads out into the woods.

| Seek Ye First |

21 Mar
Awoke this morning with these 3 words ringing in my ears again: Seek Ye First.
Seek – what attitude do I have when I come before the Almighty? Am I too casual? Yes He is a friend, but He is also to be revered and worshiped. Am I seeking or do I take Him for granted. Prayer is a privilege, not a burden, nor a tool.
Ye – Who or What do I seek? Treasures of this earth that will be eaten by moths or die away? Even my physical body or gifts I think I am blessed with… these are nothing compared to His glory. To Him.
First – What are my priorities? Is it Him or is it something else or someone else. First, not second, not later. Now and First.
Faith is a seemingly obscure element, much like the word “Believe”, but it can grow. How do you nurture it? From a mustard seed, a tree can grow. Have faith in your faith, and water it well.
Mustard Seed of Faith Brooch – $24.

Lovingly made of wooden branch sections and a bit of plastic.

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
– Matthew 17:20
